Kim Yongseok, the actor who played Panhansungbu Magistrate Yoo Guisan in the film, posted on his social media account on February 28, beginning his message with, "Live life like Jang Hangjun."
In his post, Kim Yongseok expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to play the role of Panhansungbu Magistrate Yoo Guisan, but also shared a personal reason for being thankful to director Jang Hangjun. He wrote, "While moving to the monitor during filming, I told the director that my baby had been born a few days earlier. The director warmly congratulated me."
Director Jang Hangjun responded, "Yongseok, give me your phone. I'll give you my number, so send me your home address. I'll send you some diapers. You’ll need a lot of diapers at first." At that moment, however, it was difficult for Kim to hand over his phone due to his costume.

Nevertheless, the next day, Kim Yongseok received a text message on his phone. The message read, "Yongseok, it's Jang Hangjun. Please send me your home address and the type of diapers your baby uses."
Kim shared, "Even though he was busy with the filming, he found out my personal number and contacted me, and he sent two boxes of diapers to my house." He added, "As a new father feeling the heavy responsibilities and endless worries, I truly felt understood and comforted by his gesture."
He continued, "This made me want to become someone who can also offer such comfort to others. Since that day, I have become a supporter of director Jang Hangjun," concluding his post with, "Live life like Jang Hangjun!"
As of March 4, The Man Living with the King has recorded a cumulative audience of 9.4 million, closing in on the 10 million mark. The film tells the story of the deposed King Danjong Lee Hongwi (played by Park Jihoon) spending his final days in exile in Cheongnyeongpo, Yeongwol, Gangwon Province, together with village chief Um Heungdo (played by Yoo Haejin) and other villagers.
