Starting with Okcheon Village in Hampyeong County, Service to Expand to 33 Villages in the First Half of the Year
Providing Appliance Pre-Inspection, Consumables Replacement, and Safety Education
LG Electronics is expanding its mobile appliance service in rural and fishing communities. The company plans to improve its existing services by collaborating with local governments to provide community-based support, thereby enhancing customer access to its services.
On March 4, LG Electronics announced that it will expand its mobile service for rural and fishing communities, where customers have difficulty visiting service centers due to distance and other reasons. Professional service managers will visit these areas to deliver door-to-door services.

When local governments select the villages and households, LG Electronics provides the service first. The company offers pre-inspections of appliances, replacement of consumable parts, and education on proper product usage to prevent electrical and other safety accidents.
On the previous day, LG Electronics established a base near Okcheon Village Hall in Hampyeong-eup, Hampyeong County, Jeollanam-do, and provided mobile services by visiting nearby households. The company offered free inspections of appliances in use, such as washing machines, refrigerators, and TVs, and cleaned and checked the operation of air conditioner filters that had not been used during the winter. In addition, LG Electronics conducted safety inspections, such as replacing old power strips and attaching fire safety patches near power outlets to prevent electrical accidents.
Recently, LG Electronics signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hampyeong County Office to operate the mobile appliance service project for rural and fishing communities.
LG Electronics plans to offer the service in 33 villages within Hampyeong County during the first half of this year. In the second half, the company expects to expand the mobile service to additional local governments.
Last year, LG Electronics provided more than 1,000 mobile services in 15 villages in Jeollanam-do, a region with many islands. In particular, on Hongdo Island in Heuksan-myeon, Shinan County, the one-way distance to the nearest Mokpo service center is 127 km, making timely service difficult. The company received a positive response from customers there. In 2025, the total travel distance for mobile appliance services in the 15 villages reached 2,000 km.
Jae-woong Jung, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Value Innovation at LG Electronics, stated, "Going forward, we will further expand our efforts to proactively visit areas in need, resolve inconveniences, and help customers make better use of our products."
