Contract Catering Up 21%... Foodist's Sales Top 1 Trillion Won Last Year

One Year After Joining Sajo, Earnings Improve
Foodservice Ingredient Division Sales Up 9%

Foodist, the foodservice ingredient specialist of the Sajo Group, announced on the 24th that its sales reached 1.0766 trillion won last year, a 7.1% increase from a year earlier. Operating profit jumped tenfold from 700 million won to 8.2 billion won.

The improvement in earnings was driven by the FS (Food Service) division, which is in charge of contract catering and concessions. Sales in the FS division rose 21.2% year-on-year. The company analyzed that it successfully increased the number of meals served by improving operational efficiency at existing sites and by winning more contracts for new sites. In particular, after securing the operating rights for highway service areas, it newly won large clients such as High1 Resort and Sono International.

The company stated, "As preference for in-house cafeterias continues amid persistently high inflation, we have raised customer satisfaction by introducing collaborative menus with popular dining-out brands," adding, "We have also strengthened operational efficiency and cost competitiveness by adopting a menu AI system and automated kitchen equipment."

Sales in the foodservice ingredient division increased by 9.4%. Customized sales activities targeting strategic clients and enhanced supply stability supported the performance. This year, the company plans to diversify its product portfolio by launching a care-specialized brand and to expand customer-tailored solutions.

In the product division, sales of its private brand "Sikjajae Wang" exceeded 200 billion won. The company diversified its supply chain by increasing direct imports of overseas brands and expanded cost savings through a project to supply "imperfect" agricultural products.

Collaboration with Sajo Group affiliates also expanded. The company explained that it is strengthening synergies through menu development using products from the group’s food affiliates and through strategic crop package businesses.

A Foodist official said, "Just one year after joining the Sajo Group, we achieved the highest sales and operating profit since the company’s founding last year," and added, "The expansion of orders, improved operational efficiency, and stronger product competitiveness worked together to drive better results." The official went on to say, "This year as well, we will continue our growth trajectory by pursuing customer-centric strategies and enhancing our business expertise."
