The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 24th that starting next month it will fully implement the "RISE (Regional Innovation-based Support for Education) Customized Neulbom School Program" in cooperation with seven local universities, including Inha University and Kyung-in Women's University.

This program, which targets 120 classes at 71 elementary schools in Incheon, has been prepared to provide high-quality care and educational services to first- and second-grade children by utilizing the universities' professional educational infrastructure.

The program consists of university-specific specialized courses in eight areas, including Seasonal Light Art Class, Physical Activity Playground, Digital World Made by My Own Hands, Curious Science, and Climate and Environment, designed to match the developmental characteristics of lower-grade children in the domains of experience, play, and safety. The program is operated in a way that professional instructors trained by the universities visit elementary schools and conduct classes after school.

An official from the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education said, "We will provide integrated support for quality education and care by utilizing the excellent human and material resources of universities," adding, "Since it is offered free of charge after regular classes end, we expect it will ease the childcare burden on parents and strengthen public education."
