Round-trip Service to Anyang Bakdal Training Center from March to December

Starting from March through December 2026, Yeongdeungpo-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Choi Hokwon) will operate a free shuttle bus service for local reservists training at the Anyang Bakdal Scientific Training Center. Following last year, the district will again provide support so that all applicants can use the service.

The reservist training center is located on the outskirts of the city, where public transportation is inconvenient, causing significant discomfort for young reservists who have had to make several transfers from the early morning hours. To reduce this travel burden, the district launched the reservist shuttle bus program in 2024, and last year about 7,000 people used the service, receiving a very positive response.

The shuttle buses will run on three routes between Yeongdeungpo-gu and the Bakdal Scientific Training Center, stopping at a total of 16 bus stops. They will depart from Yeongdeungpo at 7:20 a.m., arrive at the training center at 8:30 a.m., and then operate round trips back to Yeongdeungpo after training ends.

The main stops on each route are as follows: Route 1 serves the area around the Lotte Homeshopping building (across the street), Dangsan Station, Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, and Yanghwa Middle School; Route 2 serves the area around Woosung Tower (Yeongdeungpo-dong), Ilsim Haejangguk (Dorim-dong), and the IBK Industrial Bank of Korea branch in Daerim-dong; Route 3 serves the area around Yeouidong Community Service Center, the Air Force Hotel (Singil 1-dong), Saemaeul Geumgo in Singil 4-dong, and the back gate of Yeongdeungpo Xi Rene (Daerim 2-dong).

Applications for use can be made from two weeks before the start of training through the integrated reservation system on the Yeongdeungpo-gu website, and detailed information is available at each local reservist company headquarters.

Yeongdeungpo District Mayor Choi Hokwon said, "I hope this will help reduce the inconvenience young reservists, who are responsible for local security in emergencies, experience when traveling and will boost their morale," adding, "We will continue to promote policies that young people and residents can feel in their daily lives."
