Gyeonggi-do to Manage Vascular Health of Workers at 650 Workplaces...Applications Accepted Until March 27

Gyeonggi-do will operate a "Vascular Health Program" this year for workers at 650 workplaces.

Gyeonggi-do is recruiting workplaces to participate in the "Vascular Health Program," in which workplace health managers will observe and manage vascular health indicators such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol that are outside the normal range for at least three months, and will also provide health information through customized individual counseling. Applications will be accepted until March 27, 2026.

Any workplace located within the province can apply, regardless of industry.

Depending on the situation of each workplace, those that can provide both worker health counseling and operate health promotion programs will be categorized as "continuous management type"; those that can provide worker health counseling will be categorized as "basic type"; and those that are interested in workers' vascular health but find it difficult to provide health counseling or operate health promotion programs will be categorized as "environment creation type."

In particular, 10 workplaces designated as the "continuous management type" will receive not only capacity-building training and health counseling materials for health managers, as in the basic type, but also three months of vascular health monitoring (including blood pressure measurement, hospital visits, and provision of health behavior questionnaires), along with a special lecture by an expert on strengthening patient counseling competencies. The "environment creation type" will be provided with disease management promotional materials and educational promotional videos that can be permanently placed within the workplace.

Gyeonggi-do will also hold an online briefing session on this project over two days, March 18 and 19, 2026.

Sunghyun-suk, Director of Health and Medical Policy at Gyeonggi-do, said, "To extend the healthy life expectancy of residents, it is essential to ensure continuous management of hypertension and diabetes and to improve health behaviors," adding, "Through the Vascular Health Program, we will support the strengthening of workplace health managers' capabilities and the improvement of workers' self-management levels within the province, and do our utmost to lay the foundation for lifelong health for all residents."
