Kim Hyoju aims to make things happen once again on her "promised land."
On February 26, she will compete in the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Women's World Championship on the Tanjong Course (par 72, 6,793 yards) at Sentosa Golf Club on Sentosa Island in Singapore, a tournament on the LPGA Tour. The total purse is 3 million dollars. It is the third event of this year's LPGA Tour and the second stop on the Asian Swing. A field of 72 players will compete over 72 holes of stroke play with no cut to determine the champion. The winner's prize is 450,000 dollars (approximately 650 million won).

Kim Hyoju has collected seven victories on the LPGA Tour, including one major title. Among Korean players, she is the highest in the world rankings at No. 9. She has fond memories of this event, having captured her fourth career LPGA Tour win here in 2021.
Kim Hyoju's most recent LPGA Tour victory came at the Ford Championship in March last year. She delivered consistent results throughout the 2025 season, recording seven top-10 finishes in 18 starts. She also finished third at this year's season-opening Honda LPGA Thailand, further raising expectations for this week's tournament.
The Korean contingent includes Kim Seiyoung, Choi Hyejin, Kim Arim, Yoo Haeran, Lee Somi, and Lim Jinhui. In addition, Ko Jinyoung, who won this tournament back-to-back in 2022 and 2023, and Hwang Yumin, who secured her spot by winning last year's Lotte Championship, will also tee it up.
The competition for the title will be fierce. The field features defending champion Lydia Ko of New Zealand; world No. 1 Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand, who won last week's Honda LPGA Thailand; Minjee Lee of Australia; and Miyu Yamashita of Japan, among others.
