Release of New Second Full-Length Album "REVIVE+"
Title Track "BLACKHOLE" Reignites the Global Syndrome
"We will become artists who make you curious about what comes next. Please keep watching as we continue to grow in a positive way."
IVE, the leading 4th-generation K-pop girl group that has gone beyond being the "kids' president" to perform on the global stage, is back. Having sung about love and confidence directed toward themselves, IVE now expands the subject to "us," confidently shining a light on the connections of relationships and emotions.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, during the showcase for the release of their second full-length album "REVIVE+," IVE said, "Through this full-length album, which we are presenting for the first time in three years, we will show you how we have kept evolving without stopping." Liz said, "If up until now we have sung messages about 'me,' this album contains messages that expand from 'me' to 'us,'" adding, "We hope you will look at us from a new perspective."
This new release marks a new milestone for IVE as they embark on a full-fledged global voyage. The second full-length album "REVIVE+" does not signify a simple reset that merely declares a beginning, but rather a "re-ignition" that awakens already-formed senses and sets them in motion again. Ahn Yujin emphasized, "Beyond re-ignition, it embodies our ambition to spread the flame burning under the name IVE farther and wider," and added, "I hope this album becomes proof of our own abilities."
The album includes a total of 12 tracks, led by the double title songs "BLACKHOLE" and "BANG BANG." "BANG BANG" is characterized by its straightforward beat built on EDM and electronic sounds, with Jang Wonyoung participating in the lyric writing. "BLACKHOLE" musically realizes a space where extinction and birth coexist, symbolizing a new beginning for IVE.
This album features a total of 12 tracks, including solo songs by every member. It includes Jang Wonyoung's "8," Gaeul's "Odd," Leeseo's "Super ICY," Liz's "Unreal," Rei's "In Your Heart," and Ahn Yujin's "Force," giving each member a solo track. Gaeul said, "We worked hard to show how we have not stopped at change but have continued to evolve," and added, "Through our solo songs, we want to present new sides that are uniquely ours."
Ahn Yujin said, "We focused on the group choreography, which is one of the charms of K-pop groups, and prepared a powerful performance together with a mega crew," adding, "Please pay attention to the unique words in the lyrics, such as 'eulpjorryeobwa' (murmur it)."
There are also noticeable visual changes. The youngest member, Leeseo, said, "I turned twenty this year, and now every member is an adult," adding, "Please look forward to seeing us as a group made up entirely of adults." Jang Wonyoung said, "We focused on bringing out the intriguing qualities that are unique to IVE."
IVE's streak of record-setting achievements is still ongoing. They have successfully entered the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) "Global Album Sales Chart 2025" for three consecutive years, and their third mini album "IVE EMPATHY" ranked as the only girl group release within the top 10. Starting with "LOVE DIVE," released in 2022, they have built a streak of seven consecutive million-seller albums and hold the record of a total of 74 wins on music shows.
Jang Wonyoung said, "Rather than focusing on the numbers, we worked joyfully while thinking of our fans," and added, "Since this is a full-length album that we are releasing after a long time, we will carry out our activities with a positive mindset and with happiness."
IVE will officially release their second full-length album at 6 p.m. on the same day. They then plan to expand the heat of their second world tour "SHOW WHAT I AM," which kicked off in Seoul last year, to audiences around the world.
