Following this selection, from March to December the city will subsidize the chartered commuter bus costs for workers in the Hongjuk and Geomjun Industrial Complexes. The project budget will be funded through a 50-to-50 matching scheme between the provincial government and the city government.

The confirmed amount of provincial funding for each project is 37.15 million won for the Geomjun Industrial Complex and 100 million won for the Hongjuk Industrial Complex. Although the budget for the Hongjuk Industrial Complex was partially reduced from the originally requested amount, the city plans to thoroughly manage budget execution to ensure there are no setbacks in implementing the project.

In addition, in the general category of the public contest, the "Style-Tech AI Convergence Fashion Expert Training Program" applied for by the Kyungdong University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation was also finally selected.

This project aims to cultivate field-oriented professionals by providing practical training that integrates AI technology into the textile and fashion sector, which is a strategic local industry. The total project budget is 98.45 million won, of which 90% will be funded by the provincial government and 10% by the city government.

Song Mi-ae, head of the Local Economy Division of Yangju City, said, "By being selected for the public contest project, we have improved commuting conditions for industrial complex workers and laid the foundation for training human resources that meet local industrial demand," adding, "We will continue to promote projects to improve the local employment environment."
