Intensive Training on Safety Management Procedures for On-site and Contracted Work

Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jongbok) announced on the 23rd that it had recently conducted the "2026 Occupational Safety and Health Training" for about 200 employees over two separate sessions.

The training was prepared to improve understanding of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and the Industrial Safety and Health Act, and to support employees so that they can smoothly implement industrial accident prevention procedures in the field when carrying out on-site work and when promoting contracted, service, and entrusted projects.

The program covered practical topics, including: detailed step-by-step implementation procedures for industrial accident prevention; how to prepare documents related to inspections of compliance with occupational safety and health requirements in on-site, contracted, service, and entrusted projects; how to develop confined space work programs; an occupational safety and health guide for those in charge of work; and best practices in workplace safety and health.

Governor Jeong Jongbok said, "I hope that through this training, those in charge will thoroughly comply with their occupational safety and health obligations so that they can secure the safety of workers in the process of carrying out on-site work and contracted work."

Last month, the county established the "2026 Comprehensive Plan for the Prevention of Serious Industrial Accidents and Occupational Safety and Health Management" after deliberation and resolution by the Industrial Safety and Health Committee. With the vision of "Gijang, a Safe and Healthy City Created Together," the county plans to systematically implement the comprehensive plan with the goal of achieving zero serious industrial accidents.
