Exco (President and CEO Jeon Chunwoo) and the Daegu MICE Industry Association (Chairman Kim Hansu) are embarking on full-scale cooperation to strengthen the global competitiveness of Daegu's MICE industry and to build a sustainable ecosystem.
On the 23rd, the two organizations signed a business agreement at Exco in Daegu to establish a "system for revitalizing the local MICE industry and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation." Through this agreement, both sides pledged to cooperate in various ways to develop a regionally specialized MICE model and to support corporate growth.
Jeon Chunwoo, CEO of Exco (left), and Kim Hansu, chairman of the Daegu MICE Industry Association, are signing a memorandum of understanding.
The main areas of cooperation are as follows: mutual cooperation and support to revitalize the local MICE industry; provision of office space within the "Daegu MICE Alliance Lounge" inside Exco; and promotion of cooperative projects for the shared development of both organizations.
The core of this agreement is to create a physical base where local companies can operate stably and to strengthen their network, in order to foster the "Daegu MICE Alliance," which is part of Daegu City's policy to boost the MICE sector.
In particular, Exco will newly establish the "Daegu MICE Alliance Lounge" on the second floor of the West Wing. Through this, it plans to provide dedicated office and business meeting spaces to the association and its member companies, thereby supporting swift work processing focused on exhibition and convention sites.
Furthermore, the two organizations plan not only to share space but also to combine their respective expertise to generate tangible business outcomes together.
Jeon Chunwoo, CEO of Exco, emphasized, "This agreement will serve as an important turning point in bringing together the core capabilities of Daegu's MICE industry, and we will fully mobilize Exco's infrastructure and support system to serve as a strong pillar that helps local MICE companies establish themselves in the global market."
