Former Second Vice Mayor of Changwon Special City Cho Myungrae to Hold Publication Ceremony on the 28th

"Again, Changwon! From Integration to Coexistence"

Former Second Vice Mayor Cho Myungrae, who served as the Second Vice Mayor of Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province, will hold a publication ceremony at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th at Irum Hall (Building No. 85) of Changwon National University in Uichang-gu, Changwon.

Former Second Vice Mayor of Changwon Special City Cho Myungrae to Hold Publication Ceremony on the 28th Book cover of Cho Myungrae, former 2nd Deputy Mayor of Changwon Special City.

This new book is a memoir that contains former Vice Mayor Cho's journey from his childhood in a remote village in Hadong-gun, through his path as a holder of doctoral degrees in Korean medicine and law and as an educator and administrative practitioner, to the three years he served as the Second Vice Mayor of Changwon Special City.

Through this book, former Vice Mayor Cho, under his consistent conviction that "in the end, a city is its people," records in the language of the field the issues of imbalance and coexistence that still remain between different districts even after the integration of Masan, Changwon, and Jinhae.

He personally witnessed throughout his term as vice mayor that, despite administrative unification following the 2010 integration of Masan, Changwon, and Jinhae, the lives and pride of citizens in each district had not been fully restored.

He also walked on his own feet through the early morning hours of Masan Fish Market, the desolate streets of Jinhae, and the night scenes of the Changwon industrial complex, diagnosing urban problems in the language of people rather than the language of policy.

This publication ceremony is intended to go beyond a simple book launch and serve as a public forum in which the author can share with the citizens of Changwon his vision of "from integration to coexistence," proposed through a change of era, a change of generation, and a change of politics.

Former Vice Mayor Cho stated that "the event is intended to invite every attendee of the publication ceremony to become a 'co-author of the 100-year vision for Changwon's future'" and expressed his hope that "the publication ceremony will become an opportunity to open a path for a harmonious union in Changwon City, which has still not been achieved since the 2010 integration of Masan, Changwon, and Jinhae."

Meanwhile, any citizen interested in the future of Changwon is welcome to participate in the publication ceremony.
