Advancing GPU-Accelerated Industrial Safety AI...Global Expansion Centered on High-Risk Manufacturing and Plant Sites
Industrial-site-specialized vision AI company Mithril has been selected as a member of the NVIDIA Inception program.
NVIDIA Inception is a global program that supports technology development and business expansion for promising tech startups around the world. Focusing on companies in advanced technology fields such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics, it provides GPU-accelerated computing resources, technical training, development tools, as well as marketing and networking opportunities. Selected companies also gain opportunities to participate in major events such as NVIDIA's global developer conference (GTC).
Mithril develops and supplies Guardian-Alpha, a real-time risk detection AI solution for high-risk manufacturing, and the cement, chemical, and plant industries. By utilizing AI CCTV, it recognizes and analyzes in real time the risks of collisions between forklifts and pedestrians, entrapment accidents, falls, and signs of fire and smoke anomalies. Its core value lies in preventing serious industrial accidents in advance through instant on-site alerts and integrated control.
Furthermore, Mithril is expanding its business into the "manufacturing AI" field, including manufacturing process optimization and production anomaly detection, based on the data it has accumulated in the industrial safety domain. By broadening its application scope to work pattern analysis, equipment operation status monitoring, and detection of risks and inefficiencies within processes, it is evolving into an industrial AI platform company that improves both productivity and operational efficiency, going beyond safety alone.
In particular, Mithril has implemented a hybrid architecture that combines an edge-based real-time inference structure with a cloud-based integrated control and training environment, enabling it to maintain stable AI performance even in large-scale industrial sites. It has continuously advanced its models based on accumulated on-site data and has secured competitiveness in practical, effectiveness-focused AI technologies that operate in real industrial environments.
Leveraging its selection for the NVIDIA Inception program, Mithril plans to further strengthen model training and inference optimization in GPU-accelerated environments, and to significantly enhance the accuracy and processing speed of its vision algorithms specialized for industrial safety and manufacturing AI. In addition, by utilizing the global network, the company intends to begin full-scale expansion into high-risk industrial markets overseas, including the Middle East and Southeast Asia, as well as into global manufacturing markets with strong demand for smart manufacturing.
"Industrial sites are environments with many complex and unpredictable factors, where high-precision AI technologies that have been validated in the field are more important than anything else," said Mithril CEO Cho Junghyun. "Through our collaboration with NVIDIA, we will simultaneously pursue technological advancement and global expansion, and lead data-driven innovation in industrial operations by expanding our business areas beyond industrial safety into manufacturing and defense."
