Cheorwon County Invites Applications for Youth Startup Space Support Project

Cheorwon County in Gangwon Province (County Governor Lee Hyunjong) announced on the 23rd that, in order to revitalize local commercial districts and create youth jobs, it will openly recruit prospective young entrepreneurs with creative and promising business items for its "Youth Startup Space Support Project," which utilizes vacant stores in the region, from the 13th of this month through March 6.

The Youth Startup Space Support Project is open to any local prospective entrepreneur between the ages of 19 and 49, with a total of 10 teams to be selected. The project will provide up to 20 million won per team in commercialization funds, including building remodeling for facility improvements and equipment rental fees.

Eligible startup fields include manufacturing and technology startups, as well as knowledge-based and general startups, excluding entertainment businesses and gambling-related businesses. As in the previous year, the county will additionally provide startup education and dedicated mentoring in order to further systematize its youth startup support program.

In addition, during the open recruitment period, a project briefing session will be held at 1:00 p.m. on the 25th on the second floor of the Customer Support Center at Sincheorwon Traditional Market. The session will include an explanation of the support project, a special lecture on preparing business plans and spreading startup awareness, consulting on the feasibility of commercializing ideas, and a Q&A segment.
