Gangwon Province to Hold Regional "Policy Briefing with Residents"
Starting on the 28th in Chuncheon... Chuncheon and Wonju Sessions on March 14
Held on Saturdays for Residents Busy with Their Livelihoods... Open to All
The Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jintae) will hold the "Gangwon Provincial Policy Briefing with Residents♥ (hereinafter referred to as the Policy Briefing)" to realize resident-centered administration that resonates with the people of the province, in line with the provincial government’s policy direction for 2026.
This Policy Briefing is an upgraded version of the "2026 Provincial Government Work Briefing (hereinafter referred to as the Work Briefing)," which was broadcast live on YouTube twice, on January 29 and February 3, and has been prepared to strengthen direct communication with residents.
While the previous Work Briefing focused on transparently opening internal meetings of the provincial government to residents, this briefing will focus on two-way communication, where the Governor and residents meet in person to share the 2026 provincial government operation direction and implementation plans for key flagship projects, and actively reflect opinions presented on-site in provincial administration.
This time, the briefing will be held on weekends to expand participation opportunities for residents who are busy with their livelihoods, and it is scheduled to be conducted as a regional roadshow to communicate with more residents, covering the Chuncheon area and Wonju area (March 14) and the Gangneung area (March 28).
Any resident who wishes to attend can freely participate by visiting the venue on the day of the event.
The Chuncheon area session will be held at 2:00 p.m. on the 28th at the Baengnyeong Art Center.
Governor Kim Jintae said, "This Policy Briefing has been prepared as part of resident-centered administration to strengthen two-way communication with residents," adding, "Through this occasion, we will listen directly to residents’ thoughts and needs, and spread administration that residents can relate to throughout the entire provincial government."
