Incheon Metropolitan City is recruiting participants for the "Youth Challenge Support Program" to help unemployed young people engage in economic activities and enter the labor market.
Eligible applicants are young people between the ages of 18 and 39 who, as of the application date, have not been employed and have not participated in education or vocational training for at least the past six months. The city plans to select a total of 264 participants this year and provide customized programs such as in-depth counseling, career exploration, and job competency enhancement.
The program is operated as short-term (at least 5 weeks), mid-term (at least 15 weeks), and long-term (at least 25 weeks) courses, depending on the participation period. Short-term participants will receive a participation allowance of 500,000 won, while mid-term and long-term participants will receive up to 2.2 million won and up to 3.5 million won respectively, including participation allowances and benefits.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Incheon Youth Portal until September 30, and participants will be selected after an eligibility screening.
An official from Incheon Metropolitan City said, "We hope this project will help increase the motivation for employment among young people in Incheon and serve as an opportunity for them to regain their confidence."
