Gwangju Shinsegae Captures Customers' Tastes with Popular Pop-Ups

Operating "Gangneung Somunnan Muchimhoe" and more

Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. has opened popular pop-up stores that customers love and is actively working to attract visitors.

Gwangju Shinsegae is operating the "Gangneung Somunnan Muchimhoe" pop-up store on B1 of the main building.

Gangneung Somunnan Muchimhoe, known as a restaurant in Gangneung Jungang Market where people line up to eat, will run until March 8.

Here, they are offering single dishes of Muchimhoe made with blanched fresh squid and whelk mixed with vegetables, as well as a single dish of savory cockle Muchimhoe.

The most recommended menu item is the Squid Muchim Flat Dumpling Set, in which the spicy and tangy Muchimhoe is wrapped in crispy grilled flat dumplings. During the pop-up period, customers who place takeaway orders will receive a cooler bag.

Customers can also find "Ttadam," which has become well-known for its popular desserts in Dongmyeong-dong, Gwangju. The Ttadam pop-up, famous for its Fruits Sando, a sandwich made with soft milk bread and fresh fruit, will operate until February 26.

At the Ttadam pop-up, they are drawing customers by showcasing Sando made with fresh seasonal fruit and dairy cream. Popular menu items include Fruits Sando filled with strawberries and Shine Muscat, as well as Dubai-style Strawberry Chocolate Sando.

"Dubai Garden," famous as a hotspot for Dujjonku, will also operate until March 5. In addition to the basic Dujjonku, they are selling chewy cookies such as Hazelnut Chewy Cookie and Yellow Cheese Chewy Cookie.
