Gyowon Life Opens New “Gyowon Yeum Chungju Civic Funeral Hall”

Expansion to Eight Directly Operated Locations

Gyowon Life announced on the 23rd that it has newly opened the “Gyowon Yeum Chungju Civic Funeral Hall.”

This is the eighth directly operated funeral hall following those in Seoul (West Seoul), Gyeonggi (Pyeongtaek and Hwaseong), South Chungcheong (Asan), Gangwon (Chuncheon), South Gyeongsang (Gimhae), and North Gyeongsang (Pohang). With this opening, the Gyowon Yeum network has been expanded to the North Chungcheong region.

The newly opened Gyowon Yeum Chungju Civic Funeral Hall has a total floor area of about 900 pyeong and consists of one basement level and two above-ground floors. It is equipped with six funeral rooms, as well as key facilities required for funerals such as an incense-burning room, reception rooms, a mortuary, and a ceremonial hall. Various convenience facilities, including resting rooms and shower rooms for bereaved families and guest rooms, have also been prepared. A parking lot that can accommodate approximately 200 vehicles has likewise been secured.

The interior of the funeral hall reflects Gyowon Yeum’s brand philosophy, which emphasizes respect for the deceased and the recovery of the bereaved families, in various design elements. The company explained that it has established a differentiated food and beverage environment from ordinary funeral halls by applying Gyowon Yeum’s unique signature menu items such as “Naegyeoteil,” “Hamkkerager,” and “Yeum Yukgaejang,” along with a systematic hygiene management system, in a consistent manner.

To commemorate the new opening, Gyowon Life is running a “free funeral room promotion” until the end of March. Bereaved families using the Gyowon Yeum Chungju Civic Funeral Hall can use the main spaces of the funeral rooms, including the incense-burning room, reception rooms, and resting rooms for bereaved families, without any separate usage fees.
