Tree Distribution Platform "ROOTRIX" Attracts 4.5 Billion Won Investment

"An End to Chronic Uncertainty at Landscaping Sites"

Tree distribution platform ROOTRIX has raised 4.5 billion won in Series A funding. New investors including CJ Investment, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, and Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs (D.CAMP) joined, along with existing investor Smilegate Investment.

ROOTRIX is a startup that connects landscaping construction sites with tree suppliers based on data from more than 700 tree-specialized farms. The company stated that it has traded with 102 landscaping construction companies so far and has recorded cumulative sales of 8.5 billion won.

Its core competitiveness comes from eliminating "tree supply uncertainty," the biggest challenge at landscaping sites. ROOTRIX manages risks such as price fluctuations, quality mismatches, and delivery delays experienced by site managers through a data-driven system, and has built a structure that delivers verified-quality trees on time at the prices fixed at the quotation stage. The company explained that this has minimized both cost burdens at sites and variables in construction schedules.

With this investment, ROOTRIX plans to fully expand its services to small and medium-sized landscaping contractors, building on successful cases with major construction companies and contractors such as Maple Xi Apartments and Haesley Nine Bridges Golf Club. The company aims to establish, within the first half of the year, a stable procurement environment in which a single tree quotation request via the KakaoTalk channel leads to confirmed trees being delivered to the site.

ROOTRIX CEO Ahn Jeongrok said, "In landscaping, trees have always been an exceptional variable, but ROOTRIX has turned them into a manageable constant," adding, "This year, we will become a partner that removes uncertainty so that small and medium-sized landscaping contractors can focus solely on their core landscaping work without worrying about price or delivery dates."
