Applications Accepted From February 20 to March 8, Six University Students to Be Selected...Preference Given to Applicants With Strong Content Creation Skills
Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) is recruiting the "15th Hyumetro Reporter Corps" to strengthen communication with citizens.
The corporation announced that it will accept applications for about two weeks until March 8, and plans to select a total of six students from universities located in Busan and South Gyeongsang Province, including students on leave of absence.
The Hyumetro Reporter Corps is a region-based extracurricular activity program for university students that has been running for 14 years since its launch in 2012. Members produce content that delivers the corporation's key policies and stories from urban railway sites to citizens from the perspective of local youth.
Applicants must download and complete the application form from the corporation's website, then create an original piece of content on the theme of "Busan Urban Railway, One Thing I Didn't Know" and submit it by email. The corporation plans to announce the successful candidates on March 16 after screening the documents and creative works.
Applicants who have a high level of interest in and understanding of the Busan Urban Railway, and who have strong capabilities in creating social media content such as planning and writing blog feature articles, planning and editing videos, producing card news, and creating webtoons will be given preference.
The final selected members of the Reporter Corps will be active for about seven months from April to October. They will cover major urban railway sites and produce a variety of online content to promote the corporation's core projects and achievements. Depending on their performance, a monthly activity fee will be provided, and after the program ends, they will receive a certificate of completion along with separate awards for outstanding participants.
President Lee Byungjin said, "The Hyumetro Reporter Corps offers an opportunity to directly cover the urban railway, deepen understanding of public services, and build content production skills," adding, "We look forward to many applications from young people who will create new stories about the Busan Urban Railway with fresh perspectives."
