Play "Jeonghee," a Spin-off of Drama "My Mister," to Open This March

The play "Jeonghee," based on the universe of the 2018 tvN drama "My Mister," will be staged at Yes24 Stage 3 in Daehangno from March 31 to June 14.

Jeonghee is the owner of "Jeonghee's," an old bar in HuGye-dong, Seoul, portrayed in the drama by actress Oh Na-ra. The play "Jeonghee" is a spin-off that unfolds a new story centered on Jeonghee, a character who did not play a major role in the drama.

Jeonghee runs the bar alone and lives each day as if barely getting by. When Garam, a young repairman introduced by her friend Donghoon, comes to Jeonghee's, changes begin to occur in her daily life. The time Garam spends fixing things at Jeonghee's, such as the leaking washbasin, overlaps with the time Jeonghee spends putting her own life back in order.

The role of Jeonghee, the owner of the neighborhood bar Jeonghee's and a friend who was born and raised in the same neighborhood as the three Donghoon brothers, is shared by three actresses: Lee Jihyun, Oh Yeon-ah, and Jung Saebyeol. The role of "Gyeomdeok (young Sangwon)," Donghoon's longtime childhood friend who has left the secular world to stay at a mountain temple, is played by Lee Kangwoo, Kim Saehwan, and Lee Taegu.

The role of "Jian (young Jeonghee)," Donghoon's junior colleague at work, who speaks little but whose brief words and expressions are imbued with both the fatigue and resolve of life, is played by Park Heejung, Park Semi, and Kwon Sohyun. The role of "Garam (young Donghoon)," the young carpenter in charge of repairs at Jeonghee's, is played by Heo Youngson and Kang Eunbin.

The production is directed by Lee Gippeum, who has received the Young Theater Artist Award at the Korea Theater Awards and the Young Director Award from the Korea Association of Theatre Directors. Playwright Hong Danbi and music director Lee Nakyung also join the production.
