Expanding Expertise in Corporate Criminal Matters and Risk Response
Yulchon LLC (Managing Partner Kang Seokhoon) announced on the 19th that it has strengthened its competitiveness in litigation and criminal practice by bringing on board Advisor Yoo Jingyu and Attorney Kim Seungho (33rd class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), both of whom have held key posts in the police and the prosecution.
Yulchon plans to use this recruitment as an opportunity to further advance its capabilities in investigation-stage strategy development, corporate criminal case response, and regulatory and criminal risk management.
Advisor Yoo graduated from the Korean National Police University and was commissioned as a lieutenant in 1989. He went on to serve as Chief of the Gwanak Police Station, Spokesperson of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and Spokesperson of the National Police Agency. He later served as Commissioner of the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency and Commissioner of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, overseeing public safety administration. Based on his extensive experience in investigations and overall organizational management, he is expected to provide field-oriented advisory capabilities.
Attorney Kim graduated from the Department of Public Law at Seoul National University and has held major posts including Research Officer at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, Head of the Policy Planning Division at the Ministry of Justice, and Chief of the Criminal Division 1 at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. Having completed a long-term training program at Keio University and served a three-year term as Legal Cooperation Officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan, he is regarded as a leading expert on Japan. Drawing on his accumulated investigative experience in international criminal and corporate criminal matters, he is expected to demonstrate strong capabilities in handling complex criminal cases.
A Yulchon representative stated, "With the addition of experts who have held key positions in both the prosecution and the police, we have further refined our investigation response system," adding, "We will provide more effective criminal and litigation solutions to our corporate and individual clients."
