Lee Jaejin of the Department of Traditional Art and Crafts Receives Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award
Korea National University of Cultural Heritage will hold the "2025 Academic Year Degree Conferment Ceremony" at 2:00 p.m. on the 20th at the university gymnasium in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. Degrees will be conferred on a total of 233 graduates, including nine doctoral degrees, 87 master's degrees, and 137 bachelor's degrees. Graduates who have obtained national heritage conservation engineer and technician qualifications will go on to work as experts in the preservation and utilization of national heritage in both the public and private sectors.
Award presentations will also be held for seven students with outstanding academic performance. Lee Jaejin of the Department of Traditional Art and Crafts will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, while Ji Harang of the Department of Intangible Heritage Studies and Kim Dowa of the Department of Heritage Management will each receive the Administrator of the Cultural Heritage Administration Award. The President's Award will be presented to four students, including Lee Jungmin of the Department of Traditional Architecture, and 20 contributors to the development of the university will receive awards from the heads of related institutions.
Korea National University of Cultural Heritage is the only national special-purpose university in Korea dedicated to traditional culture, established in 2000 by the Cultural Heritage Administration. Its mission is to cultivate professionals who combine theoretical knowledge with practical on-site capabilities.
