Lotte Mart's "ultimate" pork will be available at half price.

Lotte Mart announced on February 18 that it will hold an imported pork promotion, "Kkeutdwae DAY," for six days from February 20 to 25. This large-scale promotion is designed under the concept of "An Early SamSam Day," ahead of "SamSam Day" on March 3, and will offer Canadian pork at discounts of up to 50%.

In particular, as domestic pork prices in February have risen by more than 18% year-on-year, increasing the burden of meat prices, Lotte Mart plans to help stabilize grocery costs for consumers whose spending surged during the holiday season by presenting high-quality imported pork as a reasonable alternative.

"Kkeutdwae" is an abbreviation of "Kkeutjang Dwaeji" (meaning "ultimate pork") and is an imported pork specialty brand that Lotte Mart introduced last year. By establishing a "three-step precision trimming process" that involves local manufacturers, the Lotte Fresh Quality Innovation Center, and professional butchers at each store, the company has secured consistent quality. In addition, the responsible merchandiser (MD) personally visits Canada to inspect hygiene at processing plants and the quality of raw meat, operating a thorough management system throughout the entire distribution process.

On the back of its quality competitiveness and reasonable pricing, the brand has received a strong response. Since the launch of "Kkeutdwae," Lotte Mart's imported pork sales from June to December last year increased by about 100% compared to the same period a year earlier.

"Kkeutdwae DAY" is the first all-item promotion since the brand was launched. For this event, Lotte Mart began advance planning in December last year and has continued collaboration with partners in Canada. Through integrated sourcing with Lotte Super, it secured about 200 tons of product, roughly twice the volume of the previous year, and based on this, has realized aggressive discount prices.

The flagship products, "Kkeutdwae Pork Belly and Pork Neck (each 100g, chilled, Canadian pork)," will be offered at the exceptional price of 990 won by applying a 50% discount for L.POINT members. During the same period, "Kkeutdwae Pork Jowl and Back Ribs (each 100g, chilled, Canadian pork)" will also be available at prices 40% lower than the regular price.
