Jangseong County announced on the 14th that it will implement a comprehensive plan for the Lunar New Year holiday for five days from the 14th to the 18th.

The county will operate task forces in a total of seven areas: general coordination, price stabilization, disaster and calamity response, health care and infectious disease control, livestock disease control, civil complaints related to daily life, and comprehensive support for towns and townships.

It plans to organize emergency on-call teams to respond effectively to various civil complaints, disasters, and calamities even during the holiday period.

If there are any inconveniences, residents can contact the Jangseong County Lunar New Year Comprehensive Situation Room at any time to receive the necessary guidance or measures. For medical matters, they should contact the public health center task force directly.

It is also helpful to check the holiday garbage collection schedule in advance. General household waste will be collected in Jangseong-eup on the 14th and in all areas on the 16th. Food waste will be collected as usual on the 14th and 16th, and only in Jangseong-eup on the last day of the holiday, the 18th. There will be no collection on Sunday the 15th and on Lunar New Year’s Day, the 17th.

Meanwhile, the emergency medical institution that will be open 24 hours during the holiday period is Jangseong Hospital. Most pharmacies will be open on the 14th, but many will be closed after that. Operating days by date and contact information can be found via the banner on the Jangseong County website.

Pilam Seowon Jipseonggwan and the Relics Exhibition Hall, which are UNESCO World Heritage sites and good places to visit with family, will be open on the 14th, 15th, and 18th.

Jangseong County Mayor Kim Han-jong said, "We will do our utmost to ensure that all county residents, as well as former residents and visitors who come to Jangseong, can enjoy a comfortable and pleasant Lunar New Year holiday."
