Jeju City Ranks No. 1 Nationwide in Danggeun Real Estate Transactions Last Year

Number of Completed-Transaction Posts Doubles in One Year

Last year, the area that showed the most active real estate transaction trend on Danggeun was Jeju City in Jeju Island.

According to Danggeun's real estate service "Danggeun Real Estate," the number of completed-transaction posts in Jeju City on the service in 2025 increased by about 2.5 times compared to the previous year, marking the highest level of activity among all cities, counties, and districts nationwide. Looking at the entire Jeju region, activity also more than doubled, showing steep growth. These figures come from Danggeun Real Estate's analysis of 2025 regional data, which includes both direct transactions and broker-mediated listings.

The high share of transactions in Jeju is analyzed as the result of synergy between Jeju’s unique rental practice known as the "yeonse" system and Danggeun’s hyperlocal service. In Jeju, it is common to sign a yeonse contract in which one year’s rent is paid in a lump sum, but related information has been fragmented across local communities and other channels, making it difficult for users to find what they need. Reflecting this regional characteristic, Danggeun Real Estate has improved information accessibility by offering yeonse as a separate property type category exclusively for the Jeju area.

Following Jeju City, Seoul’s Gwanak District ranked second and Seo District in Daejeon ranked third. In both areas, which are known for their high concentration of single-person households, one-room apartments accounted for an overwhelming share of transactions. Gangnam District in Seoul, where there is strong demand from office workers, came in fourth, with steady transactions centered on small officetels and one-room units. Cities such as Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi Province, which are backed by industrial complexes, also showed growth in transaction volume.

A Danggeun Real Estate representative said, "We will continue to focus on creating an environment where users can trade with peace of mind based on vivid, up-to-date information from their neighborhoods."
