Jeon Hangil: "Excessive Political Pressure"
The police have summoned conservative YouTuber Jeon Hangil (55), who was reported on charges of spreading false information about President Lee Jaemyung and Kim Hyeonji, the First Presidential Secretary to the President.
The Criminal Mobile Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has been questioning Jeon as a suspect on charges including defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act since 10 a.m. on the 12th.

Previously, on his YouTube channel, Jeon claimed that "President Lee Jaemyung hid more than 1 trillion won in slush funds earned from the Daejang-dong project in Singapore" and that "there is an out-of-wedlock child between Secretary Kim and him." In October last year, in response, the Democratic Party of Korea's National Communication Committee filed a complaint against Jeon on charges of defamation by stating false information.
Appearing before the police that day, Jeon argued, "This complaint is an excessive form of political pressure" and "It appears to be intended to stop Jeon Hangil from informing the people of the truth and from criticizing the Lee Jaemyung administration."
