75 Successful Candidates Across 26 Subjects...27 Men (36%) and 48 Women (64%)
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the average competition rate for the 2026 school year public secondary school teacher appointment exam was 8.7 to 1.
At 10:00 a.m. on the 5th, the Office announced the final successful candidates for the 2026 school year public secondary school teacher candidate selection competitive examination through the Notice/Announcement bulletin board on the Office’s website.
The recruitment quota for this exam was 80 teachers across 26 subject areas, including health, nutrition, librarianship, professional counseling, and special education (secondary). Among the 116 candidates who passed the first written test held on November 22 last year, a total of 75 were finally selected after performance and experiment evaluations, preparation of teaching and learning plans and demonstration lessons, and in-depth interviews.
By gender, the total of successful candidates consists of 27 men (36%) and 48 women (64%). Individual scores can be checked on the online teacher recruitment system until the 12th.
Final successful candidates must prepare the required documents and complete their registration as appointment candidates by the 23rd. After completing the “2026 Training Course for Newly Appointed Secondary School Teachers,” which will be conducted at the Daejeon Education Training Institute from the 10th to the 26th, they will be assigned to middle and high schools in the Daejeon area starting March 1.
