[Real Unboxing] Cleans While Mopping in Real Time... The "Ultimate Robot Vacuum" Aqua10 Ultra Roller

High-End Robot Vacuum Packed with Innovative Technology
Real-Time Cleaning Roller and 8cm Threshold-Climbing Stand Out
Premium Price of 2 Million Won and Maintenance Burden Are Key Considerations

Chinese home appliances, once known primarily for their cost-effectiveness, are rapidly reshaping the Korean robot vacuum cleaner market with a focus on high-end products. At the center of this shift is Dreame, a brand that has leveraged its technological prowess to more than triple its domestic market share within a year, emerging as a powerful game changer. I personally tested Dreame's premium model, the Aqua10 Ultra Roller, which incorporates the company's cutting-edge technology, over the course of two days.

Flat Top Design Optimized for Cleaning Under Low Furniture

The first impression of the Aqua10 Ultra Roller is its high level of refinement as a home appliance that complements interior design. The matte white body, combined with the silver panel on the front of the base station, gives it a sophisticated look. Two artificial intelligence (AI) cameras and an LED light on the front of the main unit further enhance its premium feel.

The most striking external feature is its flat design, with no protruding parts on the top of the main unit. The sensor only rises when needed, such as when turning the power on or off, and otherwise remains inside the body. With its height reduced to 9.75 cm, it can reach deep under low sofas and beds where typical robot vacuum cleaners cannot, making it highly effective for cleaning these areas. However, the station itself is noticeably larger compared to previous Dreame models and other brands' products. Its substantial height and width make it a prominent presence when placed in the living room.

Given its high-performance sensors and AI, initial setup of the Aqua10 Ultra Roller is crucial. First, the station is placed on a flat surface and the main unit is powered on, then connected to the proprietary application, Dreamehome, via smartphone.

During its first cleaning run, the robot vacuum mapped the entire home using its sensors. Once the map was complete, the app allowed for customized cleaning methods for each area and the designation of no-go zones. For example, you could set "Room 1" to vacuum only, while "Room 2" could be set to vacuum and then mop. The app also allows for detailed adjustments such as water usage, mop pressure, and frequency of mop cleaning, making it intuitive and convenient.

After cleaning, the main unit automatically returned to the station, where it began high-temperature washing and hot-air drying. When the wastewater tank inside the station filled up, the app sent an alert, prompting the user to empty and rinse the tank.

Real-Time Mop Cleaning System... Prevents Secondary Contamination

The standout feature is undoubtedly the "AquaRoll" system, which cleans the mop in real time during operation. Traditional robot vacuum cleaners must return to their stations to wash the mop when it becomes dirty, which can lead to secondary contamination as the dirty mop is dragged across the floor and can also prolong cleaning times.

In contrast, the Aqua10 Ultra Roller cleans the mop inside the main unit while it is running. Twelve nozzles continuously spray clean water onto the roller, and a scraper immediately collects the dirty water into a separate wastewater tank. In practice, after spilling a sticky sauce on the floor and running the vacuum, the roller instantly absorbed the mess without spreading stains, maintaining a clean state. The ability to keep the mop in a "just washed" condition from start to finish is a clear selling point. Additionally, the "FluffRoll" technology, which prevents fiber tangling with a secondary roller, proved effective in removing stubborn dirt from crevices.

The notorious "threshold" problem for robot vacuum cleaners has also been solved. The "ProLeap" system, which lifts the main body legs, enables the robot to climb over obstacles up to 8 cm high. Even high bathroom thresholds, which usually stop other products, were crossed without the need for a separate ramp.

There are also thoughtful details for homes with rugs or carpets. The intelligent "AutoSeal" function instantly seals the roller with a guard when a carpet is detected, preventing it from getting wet. In addition, the "AstroVision" system, based on an NVIDIA AI chipset, precisely detects and avoids small obstacles such as cables.

Premium Price and Maintenance Convenience Remain Challenges

However, there are clear considerations to weigh alongside its impressive performance. The most immediate barrier is the price. With a launch price approaching 2 million won, it costs as much as two standard robot vacuum cleaners, limiting its accessibility to the general public.

Furthermore, due to the real-time cleaning system, it consumes significantly more water than conventional rotary models. This means the clean water tank needs frequent refilling and the wastewater tank requires regular emptying, which can increase the maintenance burden. The powerful suction and real-time mop cleaning also generate more operational noise, which may be a drawback for consumers who prefer quieter appliances.
