The ruling and opposition parties have agreed to convene a plenary session of the National Assembly on January 29 to process non-contentious bills and to pass the amendment to the National Assembly Act. In addition, the provisional session of the National Assembly in February will open on February 2, with policy speeches by the leaders of the negotiation groups scheduled for February 3 and 4.

Han Byungdo, Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, told reporters at the National Assembly on January 28, immediately after meeting with Song Unseok, Floor Leader of the People Power Party, "The provisional session in February will open on the 2nd, and the policy speeches by the negotiation group leaders will be given by the Democratic Party on the 3rd and the People Power Party on the 4th."

Song Unseok explained, "The two parties' chief negotiators have confirmed that the agenda for tomorrow's plenary session will include the processing of about 90 non-contentious bills that have passed the standing committees and the Legislation and Judiciary Committee and are pending in the plenary session," adding, "The amendment to the National Assembly Act will also be processed tomorrow."

The amendment allows standing committee chairs and vice speakers to exercise the right to preside under certain circumstances. In addition, the supplementary provisions specify that the amendment will apply after the submission of a request for unlimited debate (filibuster), while the originally considered provision for installing electronic devices for anonymous voting has been excluded.
