Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, who has returned to party affairs, stated on January 28, "Distributing cash coupons while inflation threatens the everyday lives of ordinary people is like giving sugar water to someone with diabetes."

On this day, Jang attended the 'People Power Party Field Meeting for Price Inspection' held at the aT Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and made these remarks.

On January 22, after his hunger strike, Jang made his first public appearance by visiting a supermarket. With the Lunar New Year approaching, he aimed to inspect the prices of daily necessities. He commented, "High inflation is a destroyer that takes away an ordinary meal and daily happiness," adding, "Prices are an indicator for assessing quality of life."

He also described "high inflation as the root cause of all problems." He pointed out, "The excessive distribution of cash coupons in the market is a major cause of high inflation."

At the event, Jang identified stabilizing the supply of agricultural and marine products and reforming distribution structures as key tasks for price stability. With the Lunar New Year approaching, he emphasized, "It is important to stabilize prices for ordinary people."

He stated, "For the sake of price stability, the People Power Party will take the initiative and actively cooperate with the government and the ruling party," adding, "We will always seek answers in the field."
