Recently, on the part-time job board of the secondhand trading app Danggeun Market, a post titled "Looking for someone to prepare dinner for a first-year middle school girl" was uploaded. The poster, identified as A and presumed to be the parent, wrote, "My child is living alone and does not eat dinner. I am looking for someone to prepare dinner for her."
A continued, "You just need to set aside a small portion of what you eat at home. The quantity doesn't have to be large, and the number of side dishes can be minimal." A further explained, "For example, simple kimchi fried rice or regular fried rice, seaweed soup with kimchi, steamed eggs with kimchi, or about 10 pieces of meat with bean sprouts-just two or three types are enough." However, A added that the portion of rice should be a full adult serving.
A also stated, "Just think of it as setting aside a little of what you eat at home. You can send a photo, and since you need to deliver it in person, someone who lives nearby would be preferable." A added, "You can deliver (the dinner) between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. Since my child is an athlete, you don't need to deliver on days she is away for training, and just five weekdays per week is sufficient. It's not a large amount at 7,000 won per meal, but considering the small quantity and variety, I think it's reasonable."
Finally, A disclosed the address of an apartment in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, and added, "I will pay weekly every Friday. It would be great if you could do this for an extended period." Six people applied for the position, and the job posting is now closed.
Upon seeing the post, online commenters expressed concern, saying, "It's dangerous that the fact a minor girl is living alone and her residence is being made public," "This could be exploited for crimes disguised as acts of goodwill," and "Isn't this exposing a child to danger just to save money?"
