Recently, a post titled "Looking for Someone to Prepare Dinner for a First-Year Middle School Girl" appeared on the part-time job board of the used goods trading app Danggeun Market. The author, identified as A and presumed to be the parent, wrote, "My child is living alone and does not eat dinner. I am looking for someone to prepare dinner for her."
A added, "You just need to set aside a small portion of whatever you eat at home. It doesn't have to be a large amount, and the number of side dishes can be minimal." The author further explained, "For example, simple kimchi fried rice or regular fried rice, seaweed soup with kimchi, steamed eggs with kimchi, or bean sprouts with 10 pieces of meat-just two or three types are enough." However, A requested that the portion of rice be as much as an adult serving.
A continued, "Just think of it as taking a little from what you eat at home. Please send a photo, and since you need to deliver it yourself, it would be best if you live nearby." A also stated, "You can deliver the dinner between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Since my child is an athlete, there will be no need to deliver when she is away for training, and I only need this service five days a week on weekdays. The payment is 7,000 won per meal, which is not a large amount, but considering the small portion and limited variety, I think it is reasonable."
Finally, A disclosed the address of an apartment in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, and added, "Payment will be made weekly every Friday. I would appreciate it if you could continue for a long period." Six people applied for the job, and the position is now closed.
Upon seeing the post, online commenters expressed concern, saying, "It is dangerous to reveal that a minor girl is living alone and to disclose her residence," "This could be exploited for crimes disguised as goodwill," and "Aren't you putting the child at risk just to save money?"
