Changnyeong County Focuses on Field-Oriented Approach...
Recruiting Farms for Safety and Health Management Consulting
Inspection and Improvement of Risk Factors at Farm Worksites and Farm Roads
Changnyeong County in South Gyeongsang Province will recruit 110 farms this year to participate in a farm work safety and health management consulting program. The initiative aims to prevent safety accidents that may occur at agricultural worksites and to create a safer agricultural environment.
This program involves safety management experts visiting farms in person to inspect working conditions and provide customized safety management solutions tailored to each farm’s circumstances. It is a field-oriented support project.
The main components of the consulting include inspecting and improving risk factors at farm worksites and farm roads, checking the safety status of agricultural machinery and materials, providing education on preventing major agricultural work-related accidents, and guidance on the use of personal protective equipment.
Any farmer within the county is eligible to apply. However, priority will be given to farms that have experienced agricultural work-related accidents in the past or currently employ five or more regular workers (including day laborers). Based on the results of the consulting, necessary safety equipment will also be provided free of charge to selected farms for safety management.
Farmers wishing to participate should visit the township or town office responsible for their farmland by February 13 to apply.
An official from Changnyeong County stated, “Pre-inspection and prevention are most important when it comes to agricultural work-related accidents,” and added, “We hope that through this consulting program, farmers will be able to work in a safe environment without accidents.”
