Decamp, a startup growth partner, announced on January 22 that it will unveil its newly revamped demo day, "D.Day," for the first time on January 29 at the Textile Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Previously, Decamp had operated D.Day as a debut stage to discover early-stage startups and introduce innovative visions. Starting this year, Decamp plans to significantly expand the event's role to become a business touchpoint for sharing the achievements of companies participating in the Decamp batch program and discussing concrete follow-up investments and business collaborations.
The core keyword of the newly launched D.Day is "Breakthrough." The goal is to showcase how each startup has overcome market limitations and to make D.Day a gateway for promising companies to advance to the next stage of growth.
Six startups from the first batch, which have grown with Decamp's support, will participate in this event. The presenting companies are: Next Edition, the operator of the camping reservation platform Campit; Meisters, which operates the blue-collar service digital transformation platform Gisuljareul; Bind, the company behind the men's fashion commerce platform Athler; Cabbage, which runs the ugly produce direct-trade brand Uglyus; OneSelfWorld, the developer of the integrated digital marketing platform MyB; and Petpharm, a pet pharmaceuticals e-commerce company.
In addition to the achievement presentations by the six companies, the event will also feature a "Focus Meetup" for discussing follow-up investments and collaborations with partner companies, an exhibition space called the "Innovation Showcase," and networking opportunities among industry leaders.
Park Younghoon, CEO of Decamp, stated, "This D.Day serves as both the graduation ceremony for the first batch of the program and the starting point for discussing their next leap forward. It will not only be about discovering promising startups, but also about providing a platform where teams that have proven their growth through a year of intense execution receive fair evaluation from the market and investors."
Meanwhile, the Decamp batch is a scale-up program that discovers promising startups and provides intensive support over 12 months. The selection for the sixth batch is currently underway, with final results to be announced on February 27. Recruitment for the seventh batch will also begin on February 9. Notably, starting this year, Decamp plans to increase the maximum direct investment per company to 2 billion won, further enhancing the effectiveness of its support.
