Korea Venture Investment Corp. (KVIC) announced on January 21 that it held a "Specialized Venture Fund Training for Local Government Managers" at the Onoma Hotel in Daejeon to enhance the expertise of venture fund officers from 14 local governments outside the metropolitan area.

This training was organized to provide practical opportunities to strengthen the professional capabilities of practitioners involved in the smooth formation and management of regional venture funds. The program included an overview of the venture capital (VC) industry, basic training on the structure and operation of venture funds and the Korea Fund of Funds, as well as special lectures by regional VCs to deepen understanding of local venture investment through sharing investment trends and real-life investment cases. The cases of mother fund formation by the Busan and Chungnam local governments last year were also shared.
