'Integrity and Safety Pledge Ceremony' Held
Site Managers Participate
On January 20, Daegu Urban Development Corporation held an 'Integrity and Safety Pledge Ceremony' at the headquarters conference room in Buk-gu, Daegu, presided over by President Jeong Myungseop.
This event was organized to mark the new year by meeting with site managers to directly inspect the integrity and safety status of major project sites. Rather than serving as a mere formality, the CEO aimed to listen to the voices from the field and provide practical instructions for safety and integrity measures. The ceremony was attended by President Jeong Myungseop, members of the executive team, and 15 key personnel, including construction project management engineers and site representatives from five major construction sites currently being undertaken by the corporation.
A 'Integrity and Safety Pledge Ceremony' is being held with Jeong Myungseop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, and the site managers of the corporation in attendance.
On this day, President Jeong Myungseop emphasized, "We must learn from recent accidents in other regions and never tolerate even a 1% risk." He strongly called for thorough preparation for winter disasters such as strong winds and fires, comprehensive safety training for workers to prevent cold-related illnesses, and strengthening effective on-site safety activities.
Alongside safety, robust integrity measures to restore public trust in the public sector were also discussed. President Jeong defined workplace abuse and unfair practices at construction sites as "acts that threaten the very existence of the organization," and urged the establishment of a transparent construction culture based on mutual respect.
All participants signed an anti-corruption, integrity, and safety pledge, aiming for "Zero Corruption, Zero Accidents," and committed to making concerted efforts across the organization to create a safe and fair workplace.
In his closing remarks, President Jeong Myungseop stated, "Integrity and safety are the top priorities that must be embraced by all employees, from the CEO to field workers," adding, "We will continue to focus all our efforts on building a public institution that citizens can trust and feel safe with, through communication centered on the field."
