Recipes Showcasing the Unique Flavors of Hapcheon
Free Training and Consulting Included
Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province is recruiting businesses for the "Hapcheon Specialty Food Recipe Technology Transfer and Sales Program" until February 20, in an effort to provide differentiated local cuisine using regional specialty products and to offer tourists a rich gourmet experience.
This initiative aims to foster Hapcheon's signature tourism products and invigorate the local commercial district by passing down outstanding recipes, developed using unique local ingredients, to small business owners within the county.
Eligible applicants include general restaurants, bakeries, and cafes registered for business in Hapcheon County. Prospective entrepreneurs preparing to open a business through technology transfer are also encouraged to apply.
Selected businesses will receive free training in the preparation techniques for their chosen recipes from a total of 10 specialized menu items, including: Garlic Omurice, Doraji Claypot Rice, Chogye Nude Gimbap (main dishes); Chestnut Cheesecake, Meteorite Scone Cookies, Film-shaped Chestnut Bread (baked goods and bread); and Movie Pop Chocolate Latte, Haeinsa Cloud Latte (beverages).
In particular, the program will not only provide technology transfer but also offer additional benefits such as on-site consulting and monitoring by experts, as well as marketing support through social media and press releases.
Applicants must submit an application form, a consent form for personal information, and a copy of their business registration certificate. Detailed information can be found on the announcement posted on the Hapcheon County website.
Cho Hongnam, Head of Tourism Promotion, stated, "Through this program, we hope to offer unforgettable flavors to tourists visiting Hapcheon and create new opportunities for increased sales for local businesses. We look forward to the enthusiastic participation of business owners so that Hapcheon's distinctive recipes can become a leading regional brand."
