KakaoBank Launches Dutch Pay Service "1/N Bread Sharing"

KakaoBank Launches Dutch Pay Service "1/N Bread Sharing"

KakaoBank announced on January 20 that it has launched the Dutch pay service "1/N Bread Sharing."

"1/N Bread Sharing" is a service that allows users to request settlements simply by sharing a link, even with friends who do not have a KakaoBank account or have not installed the app. Users can access the service directly by searching for keywords such as "Dutch pay" or "settlement" in the "KakaoBank AI" chat window within the KakaoBank app.

Recipients of the link can check the amount and freely transfer the funds using their preferred financial app. KakaoBank customers can make transfers even more conveniently through the KakaoBank app.

Additionally, it is possible to request settlements all at once by linking with group chat rooms on KakaoTalk. Users can combine multiple payment records, such as for the first and second rounds, and request settlement in one go. KakaoBank stated that it paid special attention to the user interface (UI) to reduce the psychological burden often felt during the settlement process. By representing the amount as an image of sharing bread, the bank aimed to make the process feel like light and friendly communication, rather than a rigid "transfer request."

In addition, KakaoBank continues to enhance customer convenience by offering services such as "parcel reservation" in partnership with KakaoPay. Users can access this service through the "Parcel Reservation" menu in the lifestyle and convenience category of the KakaoBank app, and KakaoPay users can complete the entire process from entering information to payment in a single step.
