"Practical Support for Job Preparation"

The Mokpo National University Regional Innovation Center University Support System (RISE) Project Group jointly operated a job camp with five universities in the Jeonnam region.

On January 19, Mokpo National University announced that the "Jeonnam RISE Career Rise Job Camp," co-hosted by five universities in the Jeonnam region (Mokpo National University, Mokpo National Maritime University, Sunchon National University, Dongshin University, and Chodang University), was held at the Hidden Bay Hotel in Yeosu for three days and two nights from January 14 to January 16.

The camp consisted of a career workshop, mentoring for promising job positions, a special lecture on personal branding, job consulting, and competitions for self-introduction letters and mock interviews.

Participating students from each university chose their fields of interest from among Jeonnam's specialized industries, such as AI data, energy, smart mobility, content creation, bio, and agri-food, and took part in a variety of job support programs, including mentoring from current and former industry experts.

Jung Junha, a third-year student in the Department of Cadastre who received the Excellence Award in the self-introduction letter competition, said, "Through the job camp, I found the experience of writing a self-introduction letter, which was overwhelming to prepare alone, and the mock interviews with current and former professionals to be the most helpful. It was a truly meaningful camp because I was able to receive practical support in the job preparation process."

A representative from Mokpo National University stated, "The RISE Project Group will continue to operate various programs such as field training, capstone design, and extracurricular education to foster global regional talent in the future."
