The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency will hold this year’s 'Joint Briefing on Support Policies for Small and Medium Venture Businesses' on January 22 at the Gyeonggi Hall in Gwanggyo Technovalley, Yeongtong, Suwon.
A total of nine related organizations will participate in the briefing, including the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Small and Medium Business Administration, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, Gyeonggi Technopark, and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency).
Each organization will introduce its key support programs and the main policies it will focus on this year.
This year’s briefing will especially focus on expanding support measures for new industries such as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors. Policies supporting exports and strategies for overseas expansion in response to global supply chain restructuring will also be introduced. In addition, the event will share details about newly established dedicated funds for startups and support directions for technology-based companies at different stages of growth.
Consultation booths for each organization will be set up in the lobby of the event venue. One-on-one consultations will be provided in areas such as fundraising, R&D project applications, export certification, and overseas expansion. Companies can receive immediate answers to their questions on-site. By communicating directly with representatives from each organization, companies can receive guidance tailored to their specific circumstances. The event is structured so that policy explanations and consultations can be received simultaneously.
