Expanding Fan Engagement and Strengthening a Distinct Esports Ecosystem
Naver announced on January 16 that it has signed an official sponsorship agreement for Chijijik Esports with Hanwha Life Esports, the professional League of Legends (LoL) team.
Through this agreement, the two parties will collaborate on exclusive content production, exclusive live streaming rights, and intellectual property (IP) utilization. In addition to sponsoring the team’s uniform logo, they will expand their engagement with esports fans through both online and offline events and branded content production. The scope of collaboration will extend beyond exclusive streaming and content provision for the esports team to encompass the overall fan experience.
Naver is gradually building an esports ecosystem at the league, stadium, and team levels through long-term strategic collaboration with Riot Games, alongside partnerships with popular esports teams.
Joo Geonbeom, Head of Naver Sports & Entertainment Services, stated, “By collaborating with Hanwha Life Esports, we aim to communicate more closely with esports fans and create an ecosystem where content and community grow together, beyond just streaming. We will continue to strengthen Chijijik’s unique esports competitiveness through various partnerships in the future.”
