Hallym University Collaborates with Five Foundation Hospitals
to Promote Nursing Research Utilizing Clinical Data
The College of Nursing at Hallym University (President Choi Yanghee) held the 'Medical Data-Based Nursing Convergence Research Workshop' on January 15, together with the nursing departments of five foundation hospitals under Hallym University Medical Center.
This workshop was organized to strengthen the collaborative framework between the College of Nursing at Hallym University and the nursing departments of the five foundation hospitals under Hallym University Medical Center, and to explore directions for nursing convergence research that links practice and research based on medical and nursing data accumulated in clinical settings.
Professors from the College of Nursing at Hallym University and representatives from the nursing departments of the foundation hospitals under Hallym University Medical Center attended the workshop. They engaged in in-depth discussions focusing on the latest trends in medical data-based nursing research, research design methods for utilizing clinical data, and the potential for integrating nursing practice with data and artificial intelligence (AI).
In particular, there were active discussions on the potential for research utilization of nursing data actually generated in clinical settings and the establishment of joint research models between nursing departments and the university. The participants shared the possibility of expanding into field-oriented and problem-solving nursing research, making the event especially meaningful.
Kim Eunjeong, Dean of the College of Nursing at Hallym University, stated, "This workshop marks an important starting point for the university and the medical center to closely collaborate and jointly advance medical data-driven nursing research based on clinical practice." She added, "We will continue to build a nursing research ecosystem that connects research, education, and clinical practice through ongoing collaboration with the nursing departments of the foundation hospitals under Hallym University Medical Center."
