[Law Firm Now] Barun to Hold "Implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act and Corporate Response Strategies" Seminar on the 27th

Reviewing the Changing Legal and Institutional Landscape with the Amended Law
An Opportunity for Companies to Proactively Prepare for Labor Risks

Barun Law LLC (Co-Representative Attorneys Lee Donghun, Lee Younghee, and Kim Dohyung) announced on the 15th that it will hold a seminar titled "Implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act and Corporate Response Strategies" at the Conference Hall on the 2nd floor of the Textile Center in Gangnam-gu on the 27th.

The so-called Yellow Envelope Act (Amended Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act), which will take effect on March 10, is expected to expand the definition of "employer" and the scope of labor disputes, as well as bring changes to the legal structure related to liability for damages.

In particular, the expansion of bargaining subjects based on "substantial control" and the changes in the scope of recognized labor disputes could have a significant impact on overall labor-management relations within companies, drawing keen attention from the business community.

Barun explained that the seminar has been organized to minimize confusion that may arise in the workplace due to the implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act and to enhance understanding of the changed legal and institutional environment.

The seminar will systematically organize the key contents of the amended law and share practical response strategies, focusing on real-world cases that may become points of contention in actual labor-management settings.

The seminar will cover a total of four topics.

In the first session, Barun attorney Han Jaeun (10th Bar Exam) will give a presentation on "The Yellow Envelope Act and Substantial Control: Expansion of Bargaining Subjects and Implications from Case Law."

In the second session, attorney Cho Yoonji (6th Bar Exam) will present on "Changes in the Scope of Industrial Action and Liability for Damages after the Implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act," and in the third session, Kwak Yonghee, a reporter from The Korea Economic Daily's Economy Desk, will introduce "On-site Corporate Cases Ahead of the Implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act."

In the final, fourth session, labor attorney Kim Rin will present on "Practical Preparation Strategies for Companies in Response to the Implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act." After the presentations, there will also be a Q&A session for seminar participants.

Jung Sangtae, Head of the HR and Labor Group at Barun Law LLC (35th Judicial Research and Training Institute), stated, "We hope this seminar will serve as an opportunity to review the changing legal and institutional environment brought by the amended Trade Union Act and enable companies to proactively prepare for newly emerging labor issues."
