Export-Import Bank President Hwang Giyeon Visits Chungcheong K-Beauty and Bio Companies: "Strengthening Financial Support"

to Facility Investment, Exports, and Overseas Expansion

Hwang Giyeon, President of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, visited outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies in North Chungcheong Province and pledged financial support, the Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on January 15.

On the morning of the same day, President Hwang visited Cosmecca Korea, a cosmetics original development manufacturing (ODM) specialist headquartered in Eumseong, and Korea BMI, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Osong.

This on-site visit was conducted to demonstrate the Export-Import Bank of Korea's commitment to strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and mid-sized companies in the K-beauty and bio sectors, as well as to further support the regional economy.

President Hwang stated, "We will enhance financial support tailored to the funding needs at each stage of growth, from research and development to facility investment, exports, and overseas business," adding, "We will provide strong backing so that these companies can advance into the global market."

Previously, in December, President Hwang visited K Shipbuilding (formerly STX Offshore & Shipbuilding), a mid-sized shipbuilder in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, as well as Young Poong Electronics, a leading defense industry parts manufacturer.

Meanwhile, in its New Year's address this year, the Export-Import Bank of Korea announced plans to provide over 110 trillion won in funding over the next three years to SMEs and mid-sized companies with technological capabilities and growth potential, and to introduce a comprehensive support package for SMEs and mid-sized companies located outside the Seoul metropolitan area.
