Hyundai Staria Leads Sales
Focus on RVs and Large Sedans
KB Capital announced on January 15 that, according to an analysis of its used car trading platform 'KB Chachacha,' the Hyundai Staria ranked first in sales volume for 2025 model year used cars.
Rounding out the top five were the Kia Carnival, Genesis G80, Hyundai Grandeur, and Genesis GV70, in that order.
The Hyundai Staria is a large multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) known for its versatility, making it popular as both a family car and for work purposes. The 2025 model year Staria features upgraded driver assistance functions and an enhanced digital interior, improving both safety and convenience. By age group, those in their 50s accounted for 22.5% of views, a relatively high proportion.
The Kia Carnival, a leading minivan in Korea, secured second place by attracting strong demand from customers in their 40s. The 2025 model year Carnival offers improved interior convenience features and enhanced driving assistance functions. The share of views from those in their 40s was the highest at 41.8%.
The Genesis G80, a premium large sedan in Korea, is recognized for its luxurious design and quiet ride. The 2025 model year G80 is equipped with a large display-focused interior and the latest infotainment system. Those in their 40s and 50s made up 59.3% of views.
The Hyundai Grandeur, a flagship midsize sedan, maintained stable demand and ranked fourth. By age group, those in their 40s accounted for the highest proportion of views at 36%, followed by those in their 30s at 22.7%.
Ranking fifth, the Genesis GV70 is a premium midsize sports utility vehicle (SUV) known for its driving stability and ride comfort, with those in their 30s accounting for a relatively high 34% of views.
A KB Capital representative stated, "As the most recent model year, 2025 used cars are attracting significant interest in RVs mainly used as family cars, as well as premium large sedans. By using the KB Star Pick service, which allows users to check key vehicle information and features at a glance, customers can compare and select vehicles more easily and quickly."
