On January 14, Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced that Samhwa General Electric, led by CEO Moon Sangheon, has joined the Community Chest of Korea’s high-donation program "Sharing Distinguished Company" as its 5th member and pledged a donation of 100 million KRW to support vulnerable groups in the region.

"Sharing Distinguished Company" is a flagship corporate giving program by the Community Chest of Korea, targeting corporations and businesses that have donated at least 100 million KRW or pledged to do so within three years. The program is designed to promote a culture of sharing within the local community and encourage corporate social responsibility.
Samhwa General Electric, a company specializing in electrical construction and fire safety facilities based in Hwado-eup, has pledged a donation of 100 million KRW by joining as a "Sharing Distinguished Company." The pledged funds will be used for various welfare projects to benefit vulnerable groups in Namyangju City.
CEO Moon Sangheon stated, "The growth of our company has been possible thanks to the support and trust of the local community. I hope this donation will offer a ray of hope to neighbors in need, and we will continue to share going forward."
Joo Gwangdeok, Mayor of Namyangju City, said, "I am deeply grateful to CEO Moon Sangheon for practicing sharing with the community alongside the growth of his company. Such voluntary donations from the private sector strengthen the city’s welfare safety net and help us move toward a warmer, more caring community."
Meanwhile, Namyangju City plans to continue fostering a sustainable culture of sharing and mutual growth in the community by discovering more "Sharing Distinguished Companies" and strengthening public-private partnerships.
