As the special prosecutor for the rebellion case has requested the death penalty for former President Yoon Suk Yeol, Han Gil Jeon, a YouTuber and former Korean history instructor, has vowed, "I will risk my life to protect Yoon Suk Yeol."

On January 14, Jeon stated on his YouTube channel, "They thoroughly investigated President Yoon, but couldn't find any evidence of rebellion or treason, so they indicted him on the absurd charge of general subversion. The real leader of the rebellion is Lee Jae Myung," he protested.

Regarding Judge Ji Guyon, who is presiding over the first trial, Jeon urged, "Please judge according to the law and your conscience." He added, "There will be enormous attempts at persuasion, such as money, fame, or even the position of Chief Justice, and there will also be threats against your family or yourself. Of course, the indictment should be dismissed and a not guilty verdict should be given, but if Judge Ji Guyon succumbs to these pressures, the people's right to resist will be invoked," he warned.

He further stated, "Didn't I say I would risk my life to protect Yoon Suk Yeol? Until February, left-wing media will frantically pressure for Yoon Suk Yeol's execution. I don't ask much from you. Please participate in peaceful rallies," appealing for mass attendance at street demonstrations.

He also added, "Besides me, please subscribe to, like, and watch many right-wing YouTubers. YouTubers will save the Republic of Korea."
