7-Seater French Premium Family SUV
Enhanced Practicality with Smart Hybrid System
Peugeot announced on January 14 that it is launching the "All New 5008 Smart Hybrid," a premium family sport utility vehicle (SUV), for the first time in 10 years and has begun accepting pre-orders.
This is a fully redesigned third-generation model, built on Stellantis' next-generation electrification platform, STLA Medium. Compared to the previous generation, it offers a more spacious interior, flexible seat configurations, and improved cargo space utilization. From planning and design to production, every step was carried out in France, making it the only "real French SUV" available in Korea.
The All New 5008 measures 4,810mm in length, 1,875mm in width, 1,705mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,900mm. This represents an increase of 160mm in length, 30mm in width, 55mm in height, and 60mm in wheelbase compared to the previous model. The pixel LED matrix headlamps and the three-stripe light signature, inspired by a lion's claw, further accentuate Peugeot's distinctive image.
Peugeot's latest "i-Cockpit" concept has been applied to enhance driver immersion. The first row features eco-friendly fabric materials, seats certified by Germany's AGR (Campaign for Healthier Backs), and expanded storage space in the center console. The GT trim adds black Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation, massage functions, and eight-color ambient lighting.
The second row features three independent seats that support sliding and 40:20:40 folding, as well as seat heating, interior air quality monitoring, and side window sunshades (glass blinds). The third row consists of two independent seats with 50:50 folding, allowing the interior space to be flexibly adjusted as needed.
The trunk space is 348 liters in the seven-seater configuration and expands up to 2,232 liters. It offers a full-flat loading structure with fully foldable seats, an electric tailgate with kick-motion functionality, and under-seat storage for the third row.
With the 48V Smart Hybrid system, approximately 50% of city driving time is conducted in electric mode, delivering both quiet operation and refined efficiency. The gasoline engine and electric motor produce 136 horsepower/23.5kg·m and 15.6kW/5.2kg·m of torque, respectively, with a combined maximum output of 145 horsepower. According to domestic certification standards, the combined fuel efficiency is 13.3km/l, and CO2 emissions are 122g/km, earning certification as a Type 2 low-emission vehicle in Korea. This qualifies owners for discounts at public parking lots and reduced congestion charges.
All models come standard with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, and active safety braking. The GT trim adds adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, blind spot collision alert, and front and side cameras.
The vehicle is available in two trims, "Allure" and "GT." The Allure is priced at 48.9 million won, while the GT, limited to 300 units, is priced at 55.9 million won. With the reduction in individual consumption tax, the Allure can be purchased for 48.14 million won and the GT for 54.999 million won.
Peugeot has placed display vehicles at 13 showrooms nationwide and at Stellantis Brand House showrooms, allowing customers to see the car in person before the official launch. Customers who pre-order and take delivery will receive various benefits, including a genuine "Peugeot Voyage Luggage" travel suitcase, co-produced with French premium luggage brand Delsey and valued at 1 million won, as well as a complimentary inspection during their first visit to an official service center.
Bansil, CEO of Stellantis Korea, stated, "In Korea's most dynamic and fiercely competitive family SUV market, the All New 5008 will be an excellent alternative that combines French sensibility with practicality. We hope that more customers will expand their tastes and experience a new family SUV lifestyle through the All New 5008."
