Icheon City Accepting Applications for Rural Returnee Agricultural Startup and Housing Purchase Support Until the 30th

Icheon City, Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the "2026 First Half Rural Returnee Agricultural Startup and Housing Purchase Support Project" until January 30, 2026, to help rural returnees settle down stably.

This project provides low-interest loans to ease the financial burden on rural returnees by supporting the funds needed to establish agricultural operations and secure housing.

Eligibility requirements specify that applicants must be either the head of household or a household member aged 18 to 65. The support is available to: ▲ rural returnees who have lived outside rural areas for at least one year and moved to a rural area within the past six years ▲ non-farmers currently residing in rural areas but not engaged in agriculture ▲ those planning to move to a rural area this year as aspiring rural returnees.

The support limits are ▲ up to 300 million won for agricultural startup funds (such as purchasing farmland or agricultural machinery) ▲ up to 75 million won for housing purchase funds (including land purchase and new construction). Applicants can choose between a fixed or variable interest rate of 2% per annum, with a repayment plan of a five-year grace period followed by ten years of equal principal installments.
