bhc Surpasses 7 Million Units Sold of "Kwasaqking"

Achieved Fastest Sales Milestone Among bhc Chicken Menus
Ranked Second in Sales Share Last Year

bhc announced on January 14 that its 'Kwasaqking,' launched in February last year, has surpassed a cumulative sales volume of 7 million units just ahead of its one-year anniversary. The company explained that this is the fastest any bhc chicken menu item has reached 7 million sales.


'Kwasaqtok,' a variation that adds three types of seasoning packs called 'Toktok Pack' to Kwasaqking, has also contributed to the increase in sales. It ranked second in sales share last year, following 'Bburinkle.'

The popularity of Kwasaqking is further evidenced by search volume data. According to a recent analysis by a big data platform, which examined more than 3,000 domestic chicken brands and related keywords based on 2025 portal search volume, 'bhc Chicken' and 'Kwasaqking' were found to be the most searched chicken brand and chicken menu item, respectively.


Kwasaqking quickly gained a reputation as a 'new-concept fried chicken' upon its release, receiving rave reviews for its extreme crispiness. The crispy crumble made from potatoes, corn, and rice, combined with bhc's unique frying technique, delivers a mouthful of crunchiness. The accompanying 'Sweet Habanero Sauce' further enhances the flavor of the chicken with its spicy and sweet taste.


Building on its proven popularity in Korea, bhc launched Kwasaqking last month at its stores in Hong Kong and Thailand. The product has been met with great enthusiasm from local consumers, who enjoy fried foods and prefer bold, spicy, and savory flavors. In the first quarter of this year, bhc plans to sequentially expand Kwasaqking sales to overseas markets including Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States, aiming to further solidify its reputation and popularity as a leading K-Chicken brand, spearheaded by Bburinkle.
